When Weather Fights Back

Headed up to Chicago for my first session on the road this weekend. April is a little early up here, but we didn't let it keep us down.

Worked hard on our debris shelter to protect us against the wind, and practiced with our magnesium fire starters!

The kids worked on their carving skills making spears and walking sticks.

And learned a bit about finding food, filtering water, and navigation.

And of course, the weather being so cold, we talked about cold weather survival skills too!

Too cold to stay out overnight, so we'll be rescheduling a warmer time to try again.
